Brookshire Mary Mary enjoys double wins at The SBTC of Northern NSW Inc Championship Shows
12/9/2009 - To her credit Kelsey performs beautifully in a large class of older competitors and is awarded Minor Puppy In Show and Puppy of the Day under Staffordshire Bull Terrier Breed Specialist Mr Frans Coetzer from the renowned Zeracious Kennels (South Africa).

13/9/2009 – Another successful day ensues with Kelsy stamping her winning ways once again over a large contingent of older contenders. Ms Nancie Booth (Ramblestaff UK) awards her Best Opposite Minor Puppy In Show in New South Wales’ biggest Staffordshire Bull Terrier Championship Show entry for 2009.

.

These fantastic wins, coupled with an earlier win under Breed Specialist Mrs Juanita Crawford (Crossbow RSA), have given Kelsy an enviable hat trick of wins under three different Stafford Specialists – a fantastic achievement we are more than delighted with. Well done to Joan and Kelsy on their fantastic labours.

Apologies to many for the delay in updating the site. As you'll see from the news et al we have been a tad busy with our commitment to our recent litter (Sire Mosstrooper Man At Arms X Dam Pepstaff Give It To Me) as well as upholding some personal obligations. We would like to thank everyone for their interest in our puppies. Many thanks to all the wonderful families that have given the baby Brookshires their fantastic forever homes.
On the show-scene side of things we can boast of some great mid year accomplishments.
Brookshire Mary Mary (Mosstrooper Man At Arms X Pepstaff Give It To Me) has had some convincing results whilst settling into the Victorian Show scene. At her debut Show Kelsy scores Best Baby Puppy Bitch against older competition under judge Mr K Lee (Vic) at the Caulfield and District Kennel Club Inc Championship Show. The following week Kelsy is awarded Baby Puppy of Breed and then attains Baby Puppy in Group under respected breed specialist Mrs Juanita Crawford (Crossbow Staffordshire Bull Terriers - RSA) at the Box Hill And District Kennel Club Inc Championship Show. Well done Joan and Kelsy.
"A super brindle baby showing lots of potential and an easy class winner for me. Lovely head shape, dark round eyes, small and thin rose ears, good depth of stop, strong underjaw and lots of expression. Excellent forequarter angulation, level topline, nice short coupling and a well made hindquarter. She moved well and coped with the show ring admirably for one so young. Her make and shape reminded me strongly of my own SA Ch Crossbow Fire And Ice at the same age. A pleasure to judge her and award her Baby In Group".

Not to be outdone, Brookshire Portia (Crossguns Labour Of Love (Imp UK) X Brookshire The Matron) claims Intermediate In Group at The CNCC Committee Inc AB Championship Show under Miss C Ryan (Qld) on the 6th June 2009.
Unfortunately our show plans have been curtailed (albeit) briefly due to a slight injury to Brookshire India Arie (Mosstrooper Man At Arms X Pepstaff Give It To Me). However we will be back on the show scene as soon as Brummie recuperates.

We are delighted to announce the arrival of 7 healthy puppies and only our fourth Staffordshire Bull Terrier litter. The sire was the handsome Mosstrooper Man At Arms X Dam Pepstaff Give It To Me. Many thanks to Bryce and Jo as well as Glenn and Sandi Consadine (Mosstrooper). The below picture was taken when the cherubs were under two weeks old. We look forward to their progress and development in the coming years.

Happy 2009. What better way is their to bring in the new year than with a slight website facelift? Well not so much a facelift - more like a little jab of Botox! Regardless...enjoy the small tweaks.

No website could ever be popular without people who visit and comment on it every day, just as no book would be a bestseller if people didn't buy it. So it is with great gratitude that we say to all of you that this website probably wouldn't exist without your support. A few hours ago we received our 63,000th hit (on our home page alone - this does not include the 10 000+ hits on our Breed Info Page since being launched in early 2008) an appropriate milestone on the last day of the year. Our very humble thanks to all of you for your support, comments and goodwill.

A weekend in April (Who said all the Latest News was show orientated!)
Hydrobath Hijinx @ Brookshire (or some interesting facts about Ye Olde Hydrobath)
The sprayhead of the hydrobath not only cleans your pooch, it stimulates their largest body organ by offering a therapeutic water massage. In turn this not only helps circulation, it also relieves tired muscles and has found to positively ease the pain associated with arthritis in older dogs. Not only does the water wash the physical coat of the dog it also penetrates to the skin removing hair, dead skin cells, flea eggs and other materials that can be “hidden” and hard to remove. Also certain treatment solutions (for skin conditions) can be added to the water during the hydrobath for optimum effect and maximum dispersion.
